Have you ever wanted to help someone in need and didn’t know how? Did you have any sort of emergency, or witness an emergency, and wasn’t sure what to do? Joining East Moriches Ambulance could help you with that!
Volunteering will provide you with many different benefits:
-All medical training provided, such as CPR/AED and NYS EMT certifications
-SERVES Program to attend Suffolk County Community College
-Uniforms and other gear provided
-Property tax reduction for active members
-A volunteer retirement program, where you earn $30+ per month, increasing yearly per year of service. Earned after retirement.
-An opportunity to advanced your EMT career by upgrading to an ALS provider, such as AEMT and Paramedic!


Types of Membership
East Moriches Ambulances has two types of membership: General membership and Junior Membership.
General Membership Requirements
Everyone is eligible to apply for East Moriches Ambulance, as long as they are of good moral character, have not been convicted of a crime, or have any criminal charges pending against them.
General Members are required to ride a minimum of 8 hours per week, and upon completion of their probationary period have voting rights of the company and may hold certain officer positions within.
Junior Membership Requirements
Junior members are those between the ages of 12 and 17. For further information on our Junior program, please go here.
